Frequently asked questions
Clear answers before the first flight.
What 78 Drone Services does, what it does not do, where Dan works, and when another kind of provider may be the better fit.
Scope and fit
The right aerial partner starts with the right expectations.
These answers are meant to help businesses, project teams, property professionals, and marketing partners decide whether 78 Drone Services fits the assignment.
01
What does 78 Drone Services do?
78 Drone Services creates commercial aerial photography and video for business marketing, construction documentation, and real estate presentation. Owner and FAA Certified Drone Pilot Dan Phillips plans each assignment around what the audience needs to understand—location, scale, progress, context, or finished work. Projects can be one-time assignments or recurring coverage.
02
Is 78 Drone Services a full-service marketing agency?
No. 78 Drone Services specializes in commercial aerial media that can stand alone or become part of a website, social campaign, property listing, stakeholder update, or brand film. It does not replace brand strategy, paid media, website development, or complete campaign management. When a client already has an agency or in-house marketing team, Dan can work from their brief and deliver aerial assets shaped for the larger project.
03
Does 78 Drone Services provide land surveying or engineering inspections?
No. Aerial imagery can document visible conditions, show site context, and give project teams a useful visual record, but it is not a stamped land survey, an engineering report, or a substitute for an inspection by a qualified professional. For construction and property projects, 78 Drone Services provides the visual media those professionals and stakeholders can use alongside their own work.
04
Can 78 Drone Services fly anywhere, at any time?
No. Every commercial drone flight depends on FAA airspace requirements, weather, property or site permission, local conditions, and a safe place to operate. Dan reviews the location and assignment before confirming a flight. If timing, access, or airspace creates a constraint, he will explain the practical options before the project moves forward.
05
Does 78 Drone Services only work in Wylie, Texas?
No. 78 Drone Services is based in Wylie and regularly works in nearby communities including Sachse, Murphy, Parker, Lucas, St. Paul, Lavon, Rowlett, Garland, Rockwall, Plano, McKinney, and Allen. Projects across the wider Dallas–Fort Worth area—and farther away for select assignments—are welcome when the scope and travel make sense.
06
Why should I use a nationwide drone or marketing company and not 78 Drone Services?
A nationwide provider may be the right choice when you need one contract to coordinate a high volume of assignments across many states. A full-service agency may be a better fit when the scope includes channel strategy, ad buying, and campaign management beyond aerial media. 78 Drone Services is the stronger fit when you want direct access to the owner and pilot, local North Texas context, consistent creative judgment from brief through delivery, and aerial work shaped for a specific business purpose. The choice comes down to large-scale coordination versus direct specialist involvement.
